High Reliability

Low Noise Gives Peace of Mind and System Configuration is Simple

Low Noise

Alarm Output Increases Reliability

Thanks to the closed loop control, feedback on the motor status is provided to the controller in real-time. An alarm signal is output when an abnormality, such as motor lock due to overload, occurs and the supply of power to the motor is stopped.

Alarm Output

Continuous Duty Range

Continuous operation is possible in this region within the specification rating.

Continuous Duty Torque Specifications

Closed Loop Control

With a built-in tachogenerator on the back of Oriental Motor's Speed Control motors, the output speed of the AC motor is supplied to the Controller ensuring accurate speed control along with alarm warnings if any abnormalities occur.

Closed Loop Control

Speed Regulation (Load) is Improved

By making the control circuit CPU-controlled, the speed regulation (load) has improved. It is possible to make the deviation for the speed command and speed detection values almost 0, and the speed regulation has been improved from -5% to ±1%*. *Permissible torque when at 1000 r/min.

Parallel Motor Operation (20 Units Max.)

A single external speed potentiometer can operate a maximum of 20 units in parallel. Fine adjustment of each motor's speed can be performed by changing the controller's parameters.

Parallel Motor Operation

Speed Control (4 speeds)

4 units of operating data can be set, and can be switched with I/O during operation.

4 Speed Settings

Acceleration/Deceleration

Makes the motor movement at start/stop smoother. It is possible to set acceleration/deceleration differently for each of the 4-speed data units.

Acceleration / Deceleration

Bi-Directional Operation

Performs the operation according to the command for rotation direction.

Bi-Directional Operation

Instantaneous Bi-Directional Operation

Instantaneously switches the rotation direction of the motor while operating. (Short cycle change conditions can be created)

Instantenous Bi-Directional Operation

Speed Range Control

It is possible to limit the speed setting in advance with speed range.

Speed Control Range

Instantaneous Stop

Stops the operating motor instantaneously. (Short cycle run/stop conditions can be created)

Instantenous Stop

Advanced Performance, Simple Control

Simple Interface

Compact, Easy Installation

Compact

The controller volume is 63% smaller than a general inverter.

Compact Controller

Side-by-Side Installation Saves Space

The body width is 1.38 in. (35 mm) and even when using multiple speed controllers, the installation is compact because they can be installed side by side.

Side-by-Side Mounting

Slim Body Control Box

The speed controller depth is 3.54 in. (90 mm). It can be installed in slim body control cabinets.

Slim Body

Easy DIN Rail Installation

The speed controller can be installed directly on the DIN rail.

DIN Rail Mounting

Connecting the Motor and Driver is Easy using a Connector

Wiring the speed controller and motor together uses a connector, so installation and removal are easy.

Easy Connection

Screwless I/O Wiring Requires No Crimping or Screwing

No need for soldering or crimping tools, and no torque management for screws is necessary. This reduces wiring time and maintenance.

Easy Wiring

Use of High Permissible Torque, High Strength Gearhead

Parallel Shaft Gearhead

Parallel Shaft Gearheads

Utilizes a gearhead that excels in both permissible torque and strength. Special side panels in the gearhead have increase rigidity, and heat processing (carburization) has increase the strength of the gears.

Parallel Shaft Gear

Right-Angle Hollow and Solid Shaft Gearheads

  • 25 W (1/30 HP)
  • 40 W (1/19 HP)
  • 90 W (1/8 HP)

Speed Control Motor Right-Angle Solid Shaft GearheadSpeed Control Motor with Right-Angle Hollow Shaft Gearheads

Uses high-strength hypoid gears. Compared to conventional products, torque has been greatly increased and noise has been reduced. Furthermore, the radial load and axial load on the gearhead output shaft have been increased, contributing to decreased equipment size and increased reliability.

Right-Angle Gears

Motor Mounted Perpendicularly to the Drive Shaft, Saves Space

Connect Directly to the Drive Shaft to Reduce Costs

Right-Angle Gearheads Reduce Parts

Installation Inside Conveyor Provides FurtherSpace Savings (Hollow Shaft Type)

Conveyor drive rollers can be installed on both ends of the load shaft of a hollow shaft type. The equipment can be made even smaller compared to when the motor is installed on the side of the conveyor.

Right-Angle Gear Hollow Shaft

Preassembled Motor and Gearhead

Reduces customer assembly time, and can be installed on equipment immediately.

The motor position can be rotated in 90° increments, and the lead wire pull-out direction can be changed. The gearhead can be purchased and replaced for maintenance or to change the gear ratio.

Rotate the Motor

Use of a torque arm allows for even further time and labor savings for installation

Torque Arm Installation

Vertical Operation is Possible with Electromagnetic Brake

Speed control in vertical operation is possible through deceleration control.

These products have built-in power-off activated electromagnetic brakes. When power is accidentally cut off due to a blackout or other unexpected events, the electromagnetic brake holds the load in position to prevent it from dropping or moving. Also, when the motor is at standstill, it can be held by the electromagnetic brake. It is possible to suppress the heat generated from the motor by turning off the motor current.

Deceleration Control Function (Electromagnetic Brake Type)

This function applies brake current automatically to regulate the speed when the motor rotates faster than the set speed. Ideal for vertical, gravitational or horizontal operations. Can also be used for position holding.

Connection / Extension Cables

Connection Cables

These cables extend the distance between the motor and controller. Use flexible connection cable in applications where the cable is bent or flexed.

Potentiometer Mounting Plate

DIN rail mounting bracket for the external speed potentiometer.

Capacitor Mounting Bracket

Capacitor Mounting Bracket

This capacitor mounting plate allows you to attach an AC motor or Fan motor’s capacitor on a DIN rail. You can attach or detach in on a DIN rail with a one screw. There is no need for a separate end plate or additional components.

Flexible Couplings

These products are clamp type couplings used to connect a motor or gearhead shaft to the shaft of the equipment.

Mounting Bracket

Mounting Bracket

This is an aluminum die cast mounting bracket for geared motors.

Long, horizontal holes make it easy to make fine adjustments during installation.

Torque Arm

Torque Arm

A torque arm acts as an anti-spin mechanism when a right-angle shaft, hollow hypoid JH gear is installed to prevent gearheads from rotating due to reactive force from shafts being driven.
