Enclosure Fans / Covered Axial Fans
Enclosure Fans are complete ventilation packages offering exhaust or suction air flow and are designed to provide easy installation, superior ventilation and prevent dust, moisture and foreign objects from entering. The Enclosure Fans are available with an AC or DC input fan type, offered in 3 product classes and 5 outer frame dimensions. Enclosure covers without fans are also available. Installation and maintenance is easy utilizing a square mounting hole.

Enclosure Fans
What is an Enclosure Fan?
An Enclosure Fan is a combination package consisting of an axial flow fan and peripheral equipment (cover, filter media, frame and finger guard). It is suitable for cooling a control box or other enclosure.
Enclosure Fan Types
Air Flow - Static Pressure
The degree of protection and safety can be significantly improved by installing a finger guard, filter and cover, but the Air Flow - Static Pressure Characteristics differ from the fan only.

Finger Guard IP2X Type
The equipment is protected against ingress of fingers.
Slit Metal Plate IP4X Type
The equipment is protected against ingress of wires (with a diameter of 1 mm min.).
Dust and Water Protection IP43 Type
The equipment is protected against ingress of wires (with a diameter of 1 mm min.) and sprayed water (coming from directions within a range of 60° relative to the vertical plane).
Dust and Water Resistant IP55 Type
The equipment is protected against the ingress of dust and water jets (from all directions).
Degree of Protection
IP codes indicate the grade of watertight and dust-resistant performance specified under EN60529.
Achieve Energy Saving and Low-Noise Operation with Fan Thermostat
Thermostats (sold separately) make it possible for fans to operate only when cooling is necessary. Thermostats provide energy-saving by automatically stopping fans for example, at night, when the amount of heat generation declines following the load rate's decline in equipment, or in winter, when the ambient temperature drops and forced cooling is not necessary.
Thermostat
Thermostats automatically perform ON/OFF fan control in accordance with the temperature fluctuation inside the equipment. It helps improve the equipment's "environmental" performance relative to energy savings, noise reduction, etc.
