Oriental Motor Introduces Updated OVR 5-Axis Articulated Robot with Extended Reach and Faster Cycle Time

New OVR5048K1-V model provides greater workpiece access, ceiling-mount capability and improved maintainability.

October 27, 2026 – Oriental Motor U.S.A. Corp. is pleased to announce the release of the updated OVR Series 5-Axis Articulated Robot, OVR5048K1-V.

Designed for compact automation and material-handling applications, the new model increases maximum reach from 350 mm to 480 mm while reducing the standard cycle time from 0.9 seconds to 0.7 seconds. These improvements enable greater workpiece access, increased equipment-layout flexibility and higher productivity.

The OVR5048K1-V also supports both floor- and ceiling-mount installation, giving equipment designers additional freedom in space-constrained applications. Its weight has been reduced from 12.5 kg to 11.5 kg, making the robot easier to integrate into compact machinery and automation systems.

The OVR5048K1-V is now the recommended OVR Series 5-axis articulated robot for new applications. The previous OVR5035K1-V model remains available for purchase, and pricing for the updated model remains unchanged.
